Incense is traditionally used for connecting to divine energy - the rising smoke connects us to higher planes, opens up the heavens and communicates our wishes to Spirit. You can use incense to cleanse or imbue a space with a certain energy or you can allow the smoke to cleanse or empower yourself or an object such as a mojo bag and connect it or you to higher vibrations.
